Position involves providing electrical controls and programming support for capital projects, facilities, and equipment throughout design, installation, startup, and launch phases.
- Lead or support engineering work on electric/electronic systems in tooling and equipment.
- Oversee projects, ensuring vendor compliance with standards, and review controls designs.
- Develop control packages for metal processing and assembly equipment, staying current with industry technologies.
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineering to improve tooling, processes, and plant performance.
- Drive efficiency, reduce start-up and launch costs, and ensure equipment meets throughput goals using continuous improvement principles.
- Participate in design reviews, safety reviews, and plant connectivity standards.
- Supervise technicians and controls engineers, coordinate project activities, and support cybersecurity efforts.
- Requires a degree in Electrical Engineering, PLC/robot programming skills, and knowledge of manufacturing systems.
- Work environment includes office and plant settings, with travel and safety precautions.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and computer skills are essential.
