Our client is seeking a dedicated professional to design, develop, and optimize electrical and control systems across their production facilities. This role is crucial for ensuring maximum equipment uptime and performance through innovative solutions involving PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, robotics, sensors, and actuators.

  • Craft and standardize hardware and software control designs for both new and existing equipment.
  • Oversee the commissioning, start-up, troubleshooting, and debugging of electrical and control systems.
  • Analyze and enhance processes to boost automation and efficiency.
  • Prepare comprehensive system designs, specifications, bills of materials, schematics, and programming.
  • Support new product launches and automation upgrades.
  • Troubleshoot and modify PLC and HMI programs as needed.
  • Assemble, install, and program equipment to meet operational needs.
  • Provide technical training and support to internal teams.
  • Perform additional related duties and projects as assigned.

Working Conditions:

  • Engage in a safety-sensitive role with direct exposure to manufacturing machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
  • Comply with PPE requirements in production areas.
  • Participate in physical activities such as bending, stooping, crawling, climbing, standing, and walking.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds as necessary.
  • Maintain a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and frequent domestic/international travel.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or a related Engineering field.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in controls, automation, and electrical troubleshooting/start-up.
  • Strong PLC programming skills, preferably with Siemens or Allen-Bradley.
  • Experience in robot programming, with a preference for Epson, Fanuc, or Yaskawa.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD/Inventor and reading electrical/hydraulic schematics.
  • Familiarity with automation systems, test equipment (multimeters, scopes, etc.), and MS Office.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
