Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
Minimum of 5 years of implementation experience
Experience in controls engineering with strong ability to quickly learn and apply controls knowledge
Hands-on knowledge and ability to troubleshoot and fix PLC, CNC, robot, vision, and other automation issues
Prior work experience at client or in client's industry
Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
Experience in Structured Control Language (SCL) and software programming in Rockwell & Siemens
Knowledge of international electrical/safety standards (UL, ISO, IEC, etc.)
Experience using problem-solving skills within FMEA, DOE, DMAIC, 5D, 8D processes
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Lead assembly and machining controls engineering deliverables from simultaneous engineering through program launch
Implement standard software and hardware controls architectures across all programs/plants
Lead simultaneous engineering meetings with Tier I suppliers
Drive the controls organization to resolve issues including feasibility, timing, cost, and workload
Respond to emergency downtime events and handle current scope program responsibilities
