Currently looking for an Electrical Controls Engineer to fill an opening with a company in Grayslake, IL. Interested candidates should have at least one year of Electrical Controls Engineering experience in manufacturing with preferably Electrical Controls Engineering for automation.
Responsibilities of the Electrical Controls Engineer
Learn to develop the electrical controls for automated machinery using AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical
Learn to be able to program Allen-Bradley or Omron programmable logic controllers PLC's
Learn to be able to program HMI Human Machine Interface such as Panel View or similar software
Build your panels from scratch, wire the sensors to the PLC's, wire the terminal blocks and integrate the electrical controls for automated machinery
Utilize wire strippers, continuity testers, voltmeters and other electrical and power tools to build the panels
Work with the mechanical engineers to build new custom machinery
Document the controls layouts in AutoCAD or similar CAD software
Requirements of the Electrical Controls Engineer
At least one year of electrical controls engineering experience in manufacturing
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar engineering type of technical discipline is required
Compensation for the Electrical Controls Engineer
The targeted annual base salary for this first shift position ranges from $75,000 to $100,000 depending on experience.
