Duties, responsibilities, activities, physical demands, and work environment may change at any time with or without notice.ResponsibilitiesPerform project management of capital projects as requiredDevelop and implement control systems for new and existing equipmentGenerate schematics and panel layouts utilizing CADConduct system simulation and testingPerform on‑site commissioning and training as requiredCreate critical parts lists and suggested PM procedures where applicableSupport existing control systems via troubleshooting and maintenanceProvide direction/specification for external machine procurementWrite or approve internal controls engineering specificationsEvaluate safety controls for compliance and implement appropriate countermeasuresImplement migration paths for obsolete controls and componentsProvide guidance/mentoring to the electrical techniciansContinually promote safety as a top priorityPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor's Degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent experienceStrong Process Engineering background a plusExperience managing and executing capital projects3–5 years minimum experience with writing and troubleshooting PLC/HMI software for machinery or equipment and familiarity with electrical hardwareExperience with Rockwell and Siemens PLC/HMI programming softwareExperience with Robotic controls system, Fanuc and Yaskawa/Motoman preferredExperience with AutoCAD or equivalentKnowledge of Hydraulic and Pneumatic control systemsKnowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, NFPA 79, and RIA standardsExcellent oral and written communication skills as well as excellent computer skillsAbility to work with minimal supervisionEEO STATEMENT: Our company provides equal employment opportunities to all applicants without regard to race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic or status protected under local, state, or federal laws.Equal Opportunity Employer.
