Position Overview
We are seeking an Electrical Controls Technician I to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of natural gas pipeline and compressor station facilities.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a foundation in electrical, instrumentation, controls, or industrial maintenance who wants to continue developing their technical skills in the energy industry. You'll work hands-on with electrical and control systems while gaining broader knowledge of compressor station operations.
As you develop in the position, you'll also build the operational competencies needed to become a Level I Station Operator, providing exposure to both the technical and operational sides of gas transmission facilities.
What You'll Do

• Maintain, troubleshoot, inspect, and repair electrical equipment, including switchgear, motors, generators, pumps, and fans.
• Maintain DC electrical systems, including batteries, chargers, rectifiers, and inverters.
• Support electrical control systems and components, including PLCs, HMIs, and control networks.
• Maintain field instrumentation and control devices, including motor controls, pressure transmitters and switches, temperature sensors, limit switches, solenoids, and actuators.
• Maintain station safety systems, including ESD panels, gas detectors, flame detectors, and manual activation switches.
• Troubleshoot and maintain compressor-station equipment and systems, including air systems, air dryers, fuel systems, cooling systems, gas compression equipment, and prime movers.
• Recognize and respond appropriately to abnormal operating conditions.
• Complete daily station inspections and assist with station operations and maintenance activities.
• Support environmental and wastewater compliance, gas-loss reporting, and required operational documentation.
• Assist with work planning and provide information supporting the annual budgeting process.
• Maintain accurate records and reports in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
• Provide station support as required, which may include weekends and extended coverage.

What We're Looking For
Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and some directly related experience or foundational knowledge in electrical, instrumentation, controls, or an industrial environment.
A valid driver's license is required.
An Associate degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent technical education/experience is preferred but not required.
We're especially interested in candidates who have exposure to areas such as industrial electrical maintenance, instrumentation, PLCs/HMIs, motor controls, electrical troubleshooting, transmitters/sensors, compressor stations, gas transmission, or other industrial facilities.
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who wants to learn, develop, and advance as an Electrical Controls Technician.
Work Environment & Schedule
This is a hands-on field position. Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and performing physically demanding activities, including climbing, bending, kneeling, crawling, lifting/carrying up to approximately 45 pounds, pushing, pulling, reaching, standing, and walking.
The position may require overtime, weekends, shift work, on-call/standby coverage, and occasional overnight travel.
Important: The selected candidate must reside within 30 miles of the assigned reporting location in either the Heidlersburg or Chambersburg, Pennsylvania area.
Compensation
Target Rate: $36.50/hour
Overall Salary Range: $29.25–$43.75/hour
Final compensation will be based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.

This is a direct-hire opportunity supporting Enbridge operations in Pennsylvania. Company-sponsored international relocation is not available for this position.
