Electrical Data Analyst

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Electrical Data Analyst interested in a challenging environment for professional growth. The role involves running large information technology projects in various business areas at a utility company headquartered in the Seattle area. The position will support the Automated Meter Infrastructure Strategy team, focusing on data integrity, mapping functions, and addressing data discrepancies and validation.

Responsibilities

• Utilize AGA model validation tools to monitor and identify electrical phase mismatching, load islanding, model looping, and incorrect transformer-to-meter relationships.
• Leverage ESRI ArcMap software to edit the LRDS electrical model.
• Field and research discrepancy reports to determine required corrections.
• Consult data tables and complete meter-to-transformer ties.
• Use MS Access databases to track and verify mapping changes.
• May require fieldwork to physically verify electrical model conditions.

Required Education & Experience

• Two years of electrical engineering experience.
• An Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or two years of college-level instruction in electrical engineering (or a combination of education, training, and experience providing an equivalent background).
• Enjoys working with data and is good with detail-oriented projects.

Desired Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or GIS fields.
• Working knowledge/familiarity with GIS.
• Electrical Engineering or GIS experience at a utility preferred.
• One or more years of electrical distribution system experience.

Location

This position is hybrid and may require fieldwork to physically verify electrical model conditions.
