JOB TITLE: Electrical Design and Analysis Engineer 4
LOCATION:Mountain View, CA
PAY RATE: $82.25/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Qualifying Questions:

  • Are you a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual) as defined under ITAR regulations?

  • Do you meet the educational and experience requirements for this role?

  • Can you commute to the job location or relocate if necessary?

Summary: 

  • Writes SystemVerilog and UVM testbenches to verify ASICs and FPGAs.

  • Develops self-checking, reusable UVM components including drivers, monitors, scoreboards, and sequencers.

  • Builds functional coverage models and closes code coverage gaps.

  • Creates tests that verify DSP and third-party IP integration.

  • Runs simulations, linting, CDC checks, static timing checks, and gate-level regressions.

  • Uses scripting including Python, Perl, and Make and revision control including git and svn to automate flows.

  • Supports FPGA bring-up, hardware emulation or prototyping, and hardware integration tests.

  • Collaborates with system and hardware teams to capture requirements and debug issues.

  • Uses Linux operating system for verification environment setup and execution.

  • Applies SystemVerilog Assertions (SVA) for design verification.

Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

  • Experience with ASIC and FPGA verification using SystemVerilog and UVM.

  • Ability to build self-checking testbenches and use object-oriented SystemVerilog features.

  • Familiarity with functional coverage and code coverage closure.

  • Comfortable in Linux environment and using scripting tools.

  • Preferred: 2+ years (Associate) or 5+ years (Experienced) verification experience.

  • Preferred: Experience with hardware emulators including Palladium and FPGA prototyping.

  • Preferred: Knowledge of high-speed SerDes interfaces including PCIe, Ethernet, and JESD204C.

  • Preferred: Experience with SystemVerilog Assertions (SVA), RTL-to-GDS flows, and space or radiation mitigation techniques.
