What You"ll Do

• Design building electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, lighting controls, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.
• Create and coordinate construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, project managers, and other design disciplines.
• Perform electrical calculations, lighting studies, and power system analysis.
• Apply building codes and industry standards to ensure safe and compliant designs.
• Support project production through drawings, models, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Participate in project coordination meetings and help solve technical design challenges.
• Contribute to a collaborative team environment focused on quality and innovation.

What We"re Looking For

• Bachelor"s or Master"s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering
• 1-5 years of experience in building systems design, electrical engineering, or MEP consulting
• Recent graduates with relevant internships or project experience are encouraged to apply
• Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD
• Strong understanding of electrical power and lighting systems
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Preferred Qualifications

• EIT certification or on track to obtain
• AGi32 experience for lighting calculations
• SKM experience for power system analysis
• Familiarity with Bluebeam Revu
• LEED AP, WELL AP, RCDD, or other industry certifications a plus
• Interest in professional growth and long-term career development

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlotte, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $58.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
