Were excited to announce an opportunity for an Electrical Designer CAD/BIM Technician to join our Food & Beverage group in Champaign, IL.

Responsibilities: • Serves as the main point of contact for all CAD-related tasks on assigned projects. • Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software to prepare electrical engineering and design documents. • Assists with design computations and quantity estimates. • Assists with preparation and/or modification of reports, specifications, plans, schedules, studies, permits, and/or designs for projects. • Responsible for task-specific quality system tasks as defined in the quality manual. • Maintains technical competence on software features, company standards, and best practices. • Subscribes to the companys technical blog. • Other duties as assigned.

The successful candidate must have a minimum of an Associate degree or higher in computer-aided drafting (CAD) or a related field from an accredited institution. Alternatively, if no degree, the candidate must have 2-15 years of relevant professional experience.

Preferred qualifications include:

• Experience with power plan designs 480V and below • Experience with lighting plan designs • Experience with control panel design • Experience in power equipment specification, substations, MCCs, PDPs, LPs • Experience with AutoCAD and Rockwell Automation • Previous experience working in food & beverage facilities

Salary Range: $47,500 to $118,000 - Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as experience, skill set, or location. Mead & Hunt will not sponsor a visa (H-1B, etc.) for this position.
