VOLT is immediately hiring for an Electrical Distribution Inspector in Spokane, WA

Location: Onsite in Spokane, WA
As an Electrical Distribution Inspector you will:
Our client is seeking an Electrical Distribution Inspector to monitor and inspect contractor crews performing work on their electrical distribution system. This role encompasses both overhead line work and underground civil work, including conduit installation. Experience as a journeyman lineman or journeyman operator with foreman and/or electrical distribution experience is preferred. Other levels of experience will be considered.
Job Description
Electrical Distribution Inspector duties include reviewing performed unit work and unit sheets for accuracy, completing weekly audits of contractor crew work, and final audits in programmatic work of contract crews. Inspectors will observe crew work and provide feedback to foreman and GF as needed.
Responsibilities
* Monitor contract crews performing overhead electrical line work and underground civil work on their electrical distribution system.
* Communicate effectively with contract line and civil crews regarding job details and schedule.
* Inspect quality and craftsmanship of work.
* Inspect adherence to job print.
* Inspect adherence to job scope.
* Inspect job site cleanup and restoration.
* Inspect adherence to Avista overhead and underground construction standards.
* Complete weekly audits.
* Review unit work for accuracy.
* Complete final audits.
* Provide strong customer service skills when interacting with crews, clients, and stakeholders.
Requirements
Overhead Line Work
Must have knowledge of safe work practices for performing electrical overhead and underground work, including installation of electrical conductors, poles, and equipment. Journeyman lineman background with foreman experience is preferred.
Underground Civil Work
Must have knowledge of safe work practices for underground civil work, including installation of electrical conduits via boring, trenching, and plowing. Knowledge of civil equipment operation and installation methods is required. Journeyman operator background with foreman and electrical distribution experience is preferred.
General Requirements
* Must have experience reading and interpreting job prints.
* Must have knowledge of the NESC and experience understanding and interpreting utility standards.
* Must have an understanding of all State, Federal, and OSHA safety guidelines regarding electric line construction.
* Must become familiar with, if not already familiar with, Avista Utilities' construction standards for both overhead and underground work.
* Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is preferred.
* Must possess a valid driver's license.
Pay Rate: $50.00-$70.00 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
