This contract position as an Electrical Drafting Technician in Wallingford, CT involves revising existing drawings and creating new ones based on detailed instructions or sketches.
Responsibilities include plotting drawings, adhering to company and client drafting standards, and learning discipline-specific practices.
Additional duties may be assigned.
Requirements include a high school diploma with drafting coursework or CAD certification, an associate’s degree in CAD preferred, and 2-4 years of entry-level drafting experience.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential.
Experience with AutoCAD 2014 and/or Microstation V8i, along with knowledge of electrical wiring or structural work, is preferred.
Previous internships or consulting experience are advantageous.
