If you like complex buildings, thoughtful coordination, and seeing your work move from model to jobsite, you'll fit in well here!We're looking for an Electrical Engineer/Designer who can own design, collaborate in a technology-driven Revit/BIM environment, and support projects through construction.What you'll doElectrical Systems DesignDesign electrical distribution systems for new construction and renovationsSupport lighting design (layouts, controls intent, and documentation)Design fire alarm systems and coordinate with architectural and life safety requirementsSupport standby generator system design and integrationProduce clear, coordinated electrical documentation for new building and remodel constructionDocumentation & DeliverablesDevelop design documents including plans, risers/single-lines, schedules, details, and wiring diagramsPrepare and coordinate working drawings, wiring connection specifications, and underground/cable routing concepts as requiredSupport code/compliance and performance documentation where applicable (e.g., COMcheck, REScheck, FlaCom )Coordination & Construction SupportCoordinate electrical design with mechanical, plumbing, structural, and architectural teams in a real-time Revit/BIM workflowSupport construction administration including submittal reviews, RFI responses, field observations, and field reportsCommunicate effectively with Owners, Contractors, Architects, and Code Authorities with a working understanding of cross-discipline requirementsWhat will make you successfulRequiredExperience in electrical building systems design (consulting engineering preferred)Strong working proficiency in Revit (electrical design within a BIM workflow)Solid understanding of electrical design fundamentals, applicable codes, and constructability considerationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or closely related engineering discipline)PreferredEIT or P.E. license (or clear path toward licensure)Experience with relevant design and analysis tools such as Visual, AGi32, and SKM Power ToolsFamiliarity with compliance/performance tools such as COMcheck, REScheck, and FlaComProject types you may supportJSE supports a robust portfolio of project types including multifamily, mixed-use, commercial, hospitality, office, retail/restaurant, industrial, data center, and healthcare construction projects.Why join JSE?Jordan & Skala Engineers is a great place to build a long-term career.
