Title: Electrical Engineer 6/ Senior Electrical Engineer - Data Center
Location: Onsite 5 days/week in Overland Park, KS; Ann Arbor, MI; Bloomington, MN; Canonsburg, PA; Cary, NC; Dallas, TX; Darrien, IL; Denver, CO; Houston, TX; Orlando, FL; Phoenix, AZ; or Tualatin, OR
Hire Type: Contract to Hire
Shift : Onsite, 5 days/week
Compensation: $80-$90/hour

Overview: An organization is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the detailed design of large-scale data center environments—including hyper-scale, edge, and colocation facilities. This role focuses on managing project schedules, budgets, and staffing, providing insight into design risk factors for redundancy and resiliency, supporting business development, and collaborating directly with top-tier clients while utilizing advanced Autodesk Revit tools and mentoring junior engineering professionals.
Job Duties:
- Lead efforts to deliver detailed designs of large-scale data center environments, managing project schedules, budgets, and staffing while leading dedicated design teams.
- Work closely with engineering project teams and field personnel to conduct field surveys, review technical drawings, and ensure installations conform to standards, codes, and customer requirements.
- Provide guidance and insight into design risk factors for redundancy and resiliency, compile data, and create engineering studies and reports.
- Mentor, supervise, and provide training and guidance to junior-level engineers and designers while supporting business development activities such as scope-of-work and level-of-effort development.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 11 years of related work experience, with previous experience within the data center industry preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from a recognized accredited program.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License required.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, and 3D modeling (including Autodesk Revit, BIM 360, Navisworks, Revit work sets, view templates, project phasing, and custom parameters).
- Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and professional communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
