Description:

The Effector Digital Products department is seeking an Electrical Engineer with digital electronics design and analysis skills to join our team.

We are looking for candidates willing to collaborate, innovate, and team with our engineers to generate and utilize today cutting edge technology to design digital electronics circuits that implement missile guidance, video and digital signal processing.Our technology base includes high speed digital electronics, configurable logic, and homogeneous / heterogeneous multiprocessor designs.

The Digital Design Engineer is responsible for the design, analysis, simulation, test, and integration of digital electronic modules and/or CCAs for Missile applications.

The candidate should be experienced in all aspects of circuit card design including hardware designs with processors, FPGAs, memory, and industry interfaces, such as PCIe, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, and UART.

The candidate will be working in a collaborative team environment.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Work independently with minimal oversight.
  • Follow standard department development processes.
  • Requirements Creation and Analysis
  • Parts Selection and trade studies
  • Architecture design block diagrams, etc.
  • Schematic Capture and Involvement with the Physical Layout process
  • Lab checkout and integration of HW utilizing test plan and lab equipment

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (will consider degrees in Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering Technology.
  • Minimum of 5 years of engineering digital circuit design experience.
  • Experience in the development and design of electronics circuit designs, multi assembly system/unit design, processor designs a plus
  • Ability to attain Special Program Access (SAP).

Desired Skills:

  • Master's degree in electrical engineering
  • Experience with embedded test techniques, design for test, design margin analysis and design for production
  • Experience using Mentor Graphics Design Creation(Siemens EDA)
  • tools: DxDesigner, xDX Designer VX and Xilinx (Zynq Ultrascale, Vivado, Atrix); HyperLynx signal integrity, power integrity, and analog simulation, Xpedition Enterprise (xPCB)
  • Complex circuit card assemblies between 16 and 32 layers
  • Constraint Editor System (CES)
  • Knowledge of software and/or FPGA code development
  • Experience leading a program transition from development into production
  • Demonstrated ability to manage technical and schedule risks and to identify cost reduction opportunities
  • Knowledgeable in cost/schedule development and management

Description:

This onsite role in Tucson supports the full lifecycle of test system development. The engineer works hands on with modern tools and technologies to design, integrate, and troubleshoot test solutions used across both engineering labs and production environments. The position contributes to all phases of test product development while maintaining technical, cost, and schedule commitments, resolving issues independently or within cross functional teams.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Design and integrate test system hardware, interface assemblies, and associated components.
  • Develop engineering and production test solutions, including cabling, schematics, and circuit analysis.
  • Support all phases of test product development while managing technical, cost, and schedule requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues throughout test system implementation and deployment.
  • Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to deliver reliable, production ready test products.
  • Work with Cross functional team to coordinate electrical engineer design or integration taskingTools / Technologies Required

Required Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience required
  • Experience with factory/laboratory test instrumentation, electronics (Ex. oscilloscopes, power supplies, digital multimeters, network analyzers, etc).
  • Ability to read drawings/schematics and troubleshoot hardware and test equipment instrumentation in Factory Test Platform solutions.
  • SYSTEM DESIGN: Experience performing analog, digital, and/or RF designs at subsystem or system level
  • Experience with commonly used electrical engineering design and analysis tools including but not limited to: Creo Schematic, Mentor Capital, Altium, DX Designer
  • SOFTWARE/COMM: Basic or introductory knowledge of common software languages (C/C++/C#) to a level of reading/following code for EEs.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware interface and data protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, RS 422, ethernet, SPI, CAN, etc.

Desired Skills:

  • Software experience controlling test instrumentation via LabVIEW, software SCPI commands, or similar.
  • Experience designing/integrating full engineering and production test systems (analog, digital, mixed signal, RF), test interface adapters, interconnect drawings, mixed signal cabling, technical drawing creation, schematic creation, circuit design and analysis.
