Eligible for limited telework after initial training.Position Summary The Electrical Engineer–Advanced (Project Manager) will apply electrical engineering principles and project management techniques to design, construct, operate, and maintain electrical systems in state‑owned buildings. The role serves as the agency's primary engineering consultant for electrical system design, liaison between facility users and contracted A/E firms, and ensures compliance with codes and policies.Responsibilities Conduct site investigations, scope definition, and specification writing for electrical system projects.Perform cost estimating, budget formulation, and project scheduling.Manage construction activities, including construction management and project inspection.Provide guidance to facility user groups and contracted A/E firms on electrical design & maintenance.Serve as point of contact for Department of Administration (DOA) and Division of Facilities Development (DFD) on agency maintenance projects involving significant electrical work.Exercise professional judgment and maintain responsibilities with latitude and independence.Required Qualifications Earned degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university, or registration as a Professional Engineer recognized by the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services.Valid driver's license and compliance with the State of Wisconsin Fleet Vehicle Policy (minimum two years driving experience, no major violations).Requirement to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC).
