A multi-discipline consulting firm is seeking a Project Electrical Engineer with a focus on MEP system
design and implementation for their growing team in Albany, New York!
Responsibilities:
Manage
MEP projects including adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality
standards
Coordinate
MEP activities with other disciplines
Develop
MEP system designs, specifications, and drawings
Review/approve
shop drawings, submittals, and as-built drawings
Facilitate
seamless integration of various MEP systems (including HVAC, electrical,
plumbing, and fire protection)
Assist
in the architectural application of electrical engineering, including
power systems, lighting design, generator design, campus electrical
infrastructure
Use
knowledge of building codes/regulations to evaluate, select, and apply
standard techniques and procedures
Participate
in design development
Create
electrical specification packages
Verify
that all design aspects comply with local code and apply code provisions
Assist
with business development activities including developing projects
proposals/presentations and attend client meetings
Perform
field inspections, measurements or calculations and document
Communicate
with clients
Provide
expert guidance on MEP solutions
Lead
development of construction documents (plans and specifications)
Meet
established budget/delivery schedules
Prepare
construction drawings/specifications for public bid
Build/maintain
client relationships
Mentor/train
junior staff
Requirements:
Bachelor’s
degree in electrical engineering or closely related discipline
5+
years of consulting and design experience with a focus on MEP and power
system design and implementation
PE
License preferred
Proficient
in relevant MEP design software (REVIT, AutoCAD, Bluebeam)
Strong
project management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet
deadlines
Ability
to mentor and supervise junior level staff
Salary is
commensurate with experience.
