Electrical Engineer CM Mission Critical Engineering, or CM|MC Atlanta, Georgia, United StatesAbout this position At CM Mission Critical Engineering, we strive to provide innovative and sustainable engineering solutions that meet the needs of our mission critical clients while pushing the limits of today's technologies and setting tomorrow's standard for success.Job Title: Electrical EngineerReports to: Senior Electrical EngineerJob Summary:The Electrical Engineer is responsible for producing highly detailed construction drawings and specifications, performing complex electrical engineering calculations, & coordinating with internal & external project team members to ensure successful project delivery. This role will be integrated into a highly technical team, demonstrate strong analytical capability, & consistently deliver high‑quality engineering solutions.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.Duties/Responsibilities: Lighting system design including photometric analysis & fixture selectionEmergency/standby power system design including generators, UPS systems, & automatic transfer schemesCode analysis including NEC, NFPA, IBC, & local amendmentsEngineering studies including but not limited to fault current analysis, selective coordination, arch flash, voltage drop calculations, and Neher-McGrath calculations.Coordination with mechanical, structural, architectural, & low‑voltage disciplinesReview of submittals, RFIs, & construction‑phase documentationParticipation in internal QA/QC processes to ensure accuracy & completeness of deliverablesRequired Skills/Abilities: Proficiency in Autodesk Revit for electrical modeling and designExceptional attention to detail & accuracyAbility to prioritize tasks & manage multiple deadlinesStrong organizational skills with consistent on‑time project deliveryProven success working with all levels of management & cross-disciplinary teamsAbility to function effectively in a fast‑paced & occasionally high‑pressure environmentEducation & Experience: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a closely related engineering field is required0–7 years of electrical engineering design experienceE.I.T. certification preferred but not requiredPE certification or active pursuit of licensure is a plusExperience in mission‑critical, industrial, commercial, or similar environments preferredPhysical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk & working on a computerMust be able to lift up to 15 pounds at timesThe responsibilities outlined in this job description are intended to describe the general nature & level of work performed by individuals assigned to this role.
