Overview The Smurfit Westrock Solvay Mill has an opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to join the team as a project manager overseeing multiple capital projects as the company continues its investment in our core business to support the mills client groups.Responsibilities Manage multiple capital projects (primarily electrical, instrumentation and/or controls), including design, purchasing, contract and construction management, financial and documentationProject development within a structured environment on such things as Front End LoadingProvide E&I project engineering support to the mechanical project engineers on their projectsWork with Purchasing Dept. to identify all project materials and equipment for project completionAssist in the attainment of general mill goals by serving on special teams or supplying teams with necessary technical supportResponsible for coordinating engineering and project activities while interacting with Maintenance and OperationsSupply technical assistance for electrical equipment failure analysis and preservation on existing mill equipmentPrepare, review and update mill specifications and review management of change proposalsProvide E&I expertise on maintenance work orders as neededRequirements Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electrical engineering technology or related field and 5 years of experience in job offered or related occupation.Position requires experience in the following:Process design, power distribution, PLC / DCS and variable speed drives.Capital project development, execution, and installation/commissioning.Troubleshooting plant electrical equipment and systems.Supporting plant maintenance team on preventive maintenance activities, including equipment obsolescence planning and spare parts procurement strategy.Pulp and Paper experience a plus.What we offer Corporate culture based on integrity, respect, accountability and excellenceComprehensive training with numerous learning and development opportunitiesAn attractive salary reflecting skills, competencies and potentialA career with a global packaging company where Sustainability, Safety and Inclusion are business drivers and foundational elements of the daily work.#J-18808-Ljbffr
