Position’s Contributions to Work Group:

  • Position is for a Support Engineer / Lead Engineer within the Client Camera Component Team.
  • Engineer will be responsible for performance tests, environmental tests, and collaborating with process partners for product alignment to core system goals.
  • The team requires additional personnel due to the number of camera products under development and the speed at which these development projects are being executed.
 
Typical Task Breakdown:
  • Performance tests – executed either in the lab or in the field behind the building.
  • Environmental tests – executed in internal test facilities or at third-party test facilities in the Chicagoland area.
  • Test plan / test report creation – executed in an office environment and reviewed with senior engineers.
  • Investigating and troubleshooting technical issues related to camera components.
  • Requirements development – gathering input from process partners, documenting lessons learned, and reviewing requirements with senior engineers and stakeholders.
 
Education & Experience Required:
  • 5–7 years of experience.
  • Degree requirement: Electrical Engineering or applicable engineering degree with relevant experience.
 
Top 3 Skills:
  • Product experience – experience in electronics development, particularly with camera or ADAS sensor technologies and their applications.
  • Self-driven – ability to proactively support the team with initiative.
  • Hands-on capability – willingness and ability to work directly with hardware and testing activities.
 
Additional Technical Skills:
  • Ability to create test plans, conduct environmental and performance tests, and prepare test reports for cameras or ADAS-type sensors.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and investigate technical issues utilizing computer-aided tools, multimeters, and/or oscilloscopes at the component or PCBA level.
  • Strong hands-on engineering approach.

Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $52.00 - $53.00 /hr. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.
