Electrical Engineer II – Utilities & Central Energy

Location: Onsite — Cincinnati, OH; Lexington, KY; Minnetonka, MN; or St. Paul, MN

Travel: Up to 25% domestic travel

Role Summary

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer II to support utility and central-energy projects involving electrical power generation, distribution, reliability, and facility infrastructure. This is a hands-on design role for an engineer who can independently perform power-system studies and contribute across the project lifecycle—from design and documentation through construction, startup, and commissioning.

What You’ll Do

• Design medium-voltage and 480V electrical generation and distribution systems.

• Perform power-system studies using SKM PowerTools, including arc-flash, short-circuit, load-flow, protective-device coordination, and harmonics analyses.

• Develop electrical drawings, specifications, calculations, one-line and three-line diagrams, and schematics.

• Design grounding, lightning-protection, generator, UPS, DC power, MCC, and power-factor-correction systems.

• Collaborate with mechanical, process, instrumentation, controls, architectural, and construction teams.

• Review equipment submittals and support technical evaluations.

• Provide engineering support during construction, startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting.

• Assist with project estimates, schedules, proposals, customer meetings, and technical project coordination.
