Job Description
This role is responsible for designing, developing, modifying, and evaluating electronic parts, components, and integrated circuitry for electronic equipment and hardware systems. Responsibilities include determining design approaches, selecting components based on specifications and reliability, and utilizing engineering software and tools to execute assignments. This position works under general supervision and requires strong judgment, creativity, and technical expertise.
What You'll Do
- Provide analysis for the design, development, and implementation of electronic components and integrated circuitry.
- Develop test strategies, test devices, and system‑level evaluations.
- Plan and execute research methodologies using principles of electrical theory for engineering projects.
- Analyze equipment, establish operating data, perform experimental tests, and evaluate outcomes.
- Conduct stress, performance, and reliability testing on circuit boards, processors, wiring, and related hardware.
- Utilize computer‑assisted engineering and design software for daily engineering tasks.
- Prepare, interpret, and review technical drawings and electrical system specifications to ensure compliance with standards and requirements.
- Generate functional component architecture and contribute to overall product architecture.
- Drive hardware designs through prototype, beta, and production release phases following development and quality processes.
- Support existing products by performing troubleshooting, diagnostics, and failure analysis.
- Participate in technical design reviews and peer review processes.
- Compile data, prepare reports, and contribute to engineering studies and project documentation.
- Communicate deliverables, project status, and progress to team members and stakeholders.
- Produce technical documentation including flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, and schematics.
- Summarize development issues, service considerations, and improvement opportunities.
- Apply intermediate‑level analog and digital circuit design experience.
- Validate and test designs to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Perform circuit analysis using applied calculus, algebra, and component stress calculations.
- Demonstrate strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and project management capabilities.
- Maintain availability to meet project deadlines, including occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
