Location: Cleveland, OH
Salary: $100,000 - $150,000 (Based on Experience)
Position Overview
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to design, analyze, and deliver safe, reliable electrical systems for commercial, industrial, and mission-critical facilities (including data centers). The role focuses on power distribution and power-system design across low-, medium-, and high-voltage applications, ensuring NEC compliance, producing engineering drawings and specifications, and supporting commissioning and field activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design electrical power distribution systems for commercial, industrial, and mission-critical facilities.
- Perform load calculations, fault analysis, coordination studies, and protective device selection.
- Create and update electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Develop UPS, power conversion, and critical power solutions for data centers and related applications.
- Ensure compliance with NEC, local codes, utility requirements, and industry standards.
- Support construction and commissioning through submittal reviews, RFIs, site visits, and testing.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, contractors, and utilities.
- Prepare cost estimates, technical proposals, and project documentation; manage schedules and deliverables.
- Troubleshoot system issues, perform root-cause analysis, and recommend reliability improvements.
- Mentor junior engineers, review technical work, and support continuous process improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience designing power distribution and power systems.
- Strong knowledge of low-, medium-, and high-voltage systems, power design, and conversion.
- Familiarity with NEC, industry standards, and utility requirements.
- Knowledge of data center and mission-critical electrical systems, including UPS, switchgear, transformers, and PDUs.
- EIT or PE preferred; active PE or pursuit of licensure is a plus.
