We have an immediate need for an Electrical Engineer in the Jacksonville, FL area.
This is starting as an estimated 1 year, W-2 Contract role, including available per diem, paid-hotel and mileage reimbursement for non-local candidates.
You are expected to be available for a minimum of 40 hours per week and be able to work fairly independently.
Job description:
Perform sketches or mark-up existing drawings as required to communicate design intent.
Perform field work inspecting plant conditions, verifying existing plant conditions, Routing tray, conduit or cable layout/ new equipment for most efficient use of space and resources
Preliminary design for installation motors, instruments and controls
Coordinate with other disciplines as required to produce projects with the lowest total installed cost possible
Check design work for accuracy and ensure compliance with project requirements
Electrical room layouts
Electrical equipment specifications
Industrial cable sizing, voltage drop calculations and general cable list development
Required: - Engineering Degree
- Motor Controls
- CAD Proficiency
- Experience with 480V and 2300V/4160V single lines, starter elementaries and 480V VFDs
- Basic breaker coordination
- Electrical room layouts
- Electrical equipment specifications
- Industrial cable sizing, voltage drop calculations and general cable list development
Preferred:- Instrument & I/O list development
- Instrument specifications
- Instrument loop sheet development
- PLC & DCS connection diagram development
- Light I/O panel design experience
