Job Title: Electrical Engineer 3
Location: Mossville, IL Onsite
Duration: Permanent (Full-Time)
Schedule: Monday Friday | 8:00 AM 4:00 PM
Travel: 0 25% US Facilities

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer 3 to support product safety, regulatory compliance, and risk assessment for electrified products. The role will work closely with design and development teams on battery, charger, and powertrain components to ensure products meet applicable safety standards and requirements.

• Review product requirements and identify appropriate risk mitigations.
• Conduct risk assessments, standards evaluations, and compliance reviews.
• Work with engineering teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and met.
• Review technical reports and test results related to electrical systems.
• Support root-cause analysis of electrical system issues.
• Develop and compile technical documentation and compliance evidence.
• Lead product review meetings and drive clear actions and outcomes.
• Track project actions, progress, and compliance activities.
• Provide engineering guidance related to product safety and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with design, development, validation, and global engineering teams.
• Support testing and assembly activities when required.

• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering.
• Master's degree candidates with 3+ years of experience may be considered.
• Experience in an electrical engineering/product development environment.
• Experience with structured risk assessment or DFMEA.
• Strong technical communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Strong attention to detail when reviewing technical reports and assessments.
• Ability to facilitate technical discussions, lead reviews, and drive action items.

An experienced Electrical Engineer with 5+ years of engineering/product development experience, strong risk assessment skills, and the ability to work with cross-functional engineering teams. The candidate should be comfortable reviewing technical documentation, leading discussions, managing multiple priorities, and supporting product safety and compliance activities.

• Primarily office-based
• Less than 20% may involve overseeing product testing and assembly
• Safety shoes required when overseeing testing
