including:Heavy rail and rapid transit systemsCommuter rail corridors and facilitiesTransit stations and passenger facilitiesRail maintenance and storage facilitiesTraction power and power distribution infrastructureSignal and communications support facilitiesTransit modernization and state-of-good-repair programsMajor station renovations and accessibility improvementsNew transit expansions and capacity enhancement projectsThis role will expose you to technically challenging transit infrastructure work, including:Low- and medium-voltage power distribution systemsStation electrical systems and passenger facility powerLighting design and photometric analysisEmergency power and backup power systemsElectrical rooms, substations, and support facilitiesEquipment power coordination for signaling, communications, and operational systemsFacility modernization within active transit environmentsMultidisciplinary coordination across civil, structural, architectural, calculations, equipment sizing, and system studiesSupport lighting design and photometric analysis for stations, facilities, and operational environmentsCoordinate closely with transit systems, civil, contributor capable of independently advancing complex design tasks and delivering high-quality workWhat We're SeekingBachelor's degree in Electrical EngineeringProfessional Engineer (PE) license requiredApproximately 5‑10+ years of relevant electrical engineering experienceExperience designing electrical systems for transportation, transit, rail, infrastructure, institutional, or large public-sector projectsStrong experience with power distribution systems, single-line diagrams, and electrical infrastructure designExperience supporting station, facility, or transportation infrastructure projects is highly desirableExperience with transit facilities, maintenance facilities, rail infrastructure, or transportation agencies is a major plusFamiliarity with emergency power systems, service upgrades, and facility modernization projectsStrong working knowledge of NEC and applicable industry standardsProficiency with AutoCAD and RevitExperience using AGi32 for lighting
