Senior Level Electrical Engineer
Job Summary
Key Accountabilities
Perform system analysis using operational criteria and tools (CYME, EMS) Or PSSE Planning tool or TARA
Works closely with system study engineer and project scheduler to ensure accuracy of long-term shutdown schedule.
Organizes and leads huddle and shutdown schedule review meetings.
Organizes and leads cross-function team meetings especially for complex and back-to-back shutdowns in the same area/regions.
Champions continuous improvement (CI) initiatives focused on shutdown optimization and coordination of resources.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology and at least 4 years of relevant job experience.
Other Qualifications (Preferred)
A Master's Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
Experience maintaining State Estimator technical applications. Familiarity with Energy Management System (EMS) including State Estimator (SE), Contingency Analysis (CA), and N-1 conditions operating practices.
Familiar with PSSE or TARA applications.
Ability to provide operational feedback to improve EMS system models based on real-time measurements.
Additional Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs like Excel and Word.
Strong communication skills both written and oral.
Good interpersonal skills for building relationships within the team.
