CAD Library Engineer / PCB Component Librarian
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced CAD Library Engineer to support our Electronics Packaging & Components Engineering team. This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and validating schematic symbols and PCB footprints used in new product development, production support, and obsolescence management. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Mentor Graphics PADS, component library management, and IPC standards, along with a strong understanding of PCB design and manufacturing processes.
This position works closely with design engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure component library accuracy, standardization, and usability across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Required Qualifications
Associate"s Degree, Technical Certification, or Bachelor"s Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience developing schematic symbols and PCB footprint libraries for schematic capture and PCB layout tools.
Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Mentor Graphics PADS Layout and DxDesigner (VX2.4 or newer).
Strong experience with:
PCB layout and manufacturing processes
ECAD systems and component database management
IPC-7351 footprint creation standards
Electronic components and parts specifications
Ability to interpret component datasheets and translate requirements into accurate schematic symbols and footprints.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $128000.00/yr.
