Electrical Engineer & Electronics Controller Integrator

1. Job Summary The Electrical Engineer is a key member of a cross-disciplinary team driving the design, development and execution of the actuation systems program for the next generation of military and commercial aircraft. The Electrical Engineer works on the development of new products, and the improvement and sustainment of products. Engineering duties will span the entire product lifecycle, from initial design and requirements capture through manufacture and field support. 2. Essential Job Functions \u2022 Candidate is expected to be able to lead the design of the required circuitry (Digital, Analog, and Power) and integrate the circuit design with software to support system architecture. Designs will be to Aerospace standards including but not limited to DO-160 and DO-254 \u2022 Integrate Hardware and software for embedded microprocessor devices and firmware based FPGA devices. \u2022 Design and development of embedded systems circuitry and printed circuit assemblies according to IPC standards. \u2022 Generate design documentation including requirements specifications, design details, test procedures and reports. \u2022 Prepare and review the drawings and layouts for production parts, components, and test equipment. \u2022 Create, document and test software and hardware to validate design details \u2022 Lead multi-discipline design reviews both internally with peers and externally with customers. \u2022 Evaluate design changes for impact to product design, cost, and schedule. \u2022 Ensure the timely and efficient completion of projects to achieve the company's strategic and financial goals. \u2022 Product engineering estimates for individual tasks up to complete electronic designs. \u2022 Lead and perform root cause investigation on new development and fielded products. \u2022 Perform product troubleshooting and lab testing. \u2022 Support trade studies and proposals \u2022 Demonstrate an understanding of internal processes, methods, and tools. \u2022 Other duties may be assigned.

Required Competencies Education/Experience \u2022 Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited course of study or related field required. \u2022 Experience as an Electrical Engineer. \u2022 Typical experience: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities \u2022 Must be a self-directed individual requiring minimal supervision. \u2022 Proficiency in the use of C software programming language. \u2022 Fundamental circuit design skills and knowledge of analog and digital circuits. \u2022 Experience in analysis and schematic layout software packages \u2022 Familiarity with electrical analysis software \u2022 Computer work and drawing interpretation, as well as a familiarity with schematics or Engineering drawings. \u2022 Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts. \u2022 Evaluate concepts by creating analytical models and provide direction on which concept will meet component and or system level performance. \u2022 Provide analysis support throughout the development of a product/concept \u2022 Analyze data and performance of designs, recommend actions to create optimized design \u2022 Interact cross-functionally with a wide variety of people and teams. Work closely with engineers to identify opportunities for design improvements. \u2022 Make business recommendations (e.g. cost-benefit, forecasting) with effective presentations of findings at multiple levels of stakeholders. \u2022 Fundamental typing skills as well as familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and MATLAB. \u2022 Exceptional written and oral communication skills \u2022 Demonstrated ability to stand out, overcome barriers and deliver results. \u2022 Demonstrable critical thinking and analytical skills, including the ability and confidence to make conclusions and recommendations from data \u2022 Work with a team of engineers to design, develop, test and document electrical components. \u2022 Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
