Entry-Level Electrical Engineer (New Graduates Encouraged to Apply)
We have an exciting opportunity with a growing organization for an Entry-Level Electrical Engineer. This role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career engineers who are looking to gain hands-on experience in electrical design, drafting, and project support across residential, commercial, and industrial electrical systems.
Youll work alongside experienced engineers and designers while developing practical engineering skills in a collaborative, safety-focused environment.
What Youll Do
- Assist in preparing project and job packages including material lists, labor estimates, site layouts, and construction drawings
- Support the drafting and design of electrical distribution systems with an emphasis on safety, reliability, and cost efficiency
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, maps, construction specifications, and technical documentation
- Perform basic engineering calculations under the guidance of senior engineers
- Assist with drafting work and preparation of designs, plans, and engineering reports
- Organize and analyze field data and help prepare accurate project records
- Learn and apply applicable electrical codes, standards, and company procedures to project designs
- Support both overhead and underground electrical projects of moderate complexity
- Assist with evaluating electrical equipment such as transformers and protective devices
- Use design software and work management tools to complete assigned tasks
- Coordinate with project teams and construction personnel to help resolve design or field issues
- Communicate project progress and job status to team members and supervisors
- Learn, practice, and promote all safety policies and procedures at all times
- Maintain organized project files and documentation
- Perform additional duties as assigned while continuing to develop technical skills
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (recent graduates encouraged to apply)
- Strong interest in starting a career in electrical engineering and power systems
Preferred Skills & Attributes
- Willingness to learn industry standards, codes, and best practices
- Basic understanding of electrical drawings and technical documents
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Familiarity with design software is a plus (training available)
