This critical role involves researching, developing, and producing electrical construction drawings while applying expertise in industry concepts, practices, and procedures, with potential consultation on complex projects. The ideal candidate will be a passionate and driven individual with a strong emphasis on critical thinking, effectiveness, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.Salary Range : $110,000 - $160,000 AnnuallyKey Duties and ResponsibilitiesDesigns electrical systems for healthcare buildings with backup and emergency power systems, including generators, uninterruptable power supplies, and automatic transfer switches.Designs and directs designers in the creation of building designs.Directs activities to ensure that construction, installation, and operational testing conform to specifications and requirements.Utilizes Revit and other computer-aided design (CAD) software to execute engineering tasks and develop design solutionsWork with an experienced group of designers and engineers to prepare building electrical plans and specifications.Designs the modeling and analysis of normal and emergency power distribution systems, the design of life safety systems, the design and modeling of lighting and associated control systems, and coordination with other design professionals.Designs lighting control systems that comply with LEED, Energy Star, and similar energy efficient programs.Serve as an Engineer of Record.Follows the NFPA70 (NEC) and other electrical industry codes, standards and recommended practices.Correctly applies knowledge of power distribution, three phase systems, and short circuit, calculations and breaker coordination in designs.Displays understanding of Arc Flash calculations and/or medium voltage distribution in designs.Presents self in a professional manner and appearance. Maintains a neat and organized workspace.Serve as a mentor to other staff and provide guidance, feedback, and support on skill development and career advancement.QualificationsHealthcare Experience is preferred but not required.Education: Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in electrical engineering or architectural engineering preferred.Experience: Minimum six years' experience in the A/E industry (plus two years licensed), with proven specific experience in healthcare projectsComputer Skills: Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, MS Office SuiteTravel: up to 20% depending on projectCurrent PE License (required); NCEES Registration; LEED, CEM, or LC (preferred)#J-18808-Ljbffr
