Our client is a nationally recognized, award-winning architecture, engineering, and construction firm known for delivering innovative, high-quality projects through a highly collaborative and integrated approach.

This company is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join its growing MEP Engineering team. The Electrical Engineer will work closely with senior engineers and multidisciplinary project teams to develop high-quality building systems while helping ensure projects meet client objectives, sustainability goals, schedules, budgets, and applicable codes and standards.

This position will be involved throughout the full project lifecycle, including schematic design, design development, construction documents, construction administration, and post-occupancy.

Job Details
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related accredited engineering program required.
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline is a plus.
  • 4–8 years of related electrical engineering experience.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required for the Engineer title; candidates without a P.E. may be considered for a Designer designation.
  • Experience with electrical engineering analysis, design, and system selection for building applications.
  • Strong understanding of applicable building codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience developing electrical design documentation, including BIM models, drawings, and specifications.
  • Ability to participate in projects from schematic design and design development through construction documents and construction administration.
  • Experience coordinating permitting and regulatory documentation with local agencies and jurisdictions.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, sustainability professionals, construction teams, and outside consultants.
  • Strong technical communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate design solutions and performance objectives.
  • Experience conducting research related to electrical systems, products, building codes, and sustainable design practices.
  • Experience with construction-phase activities, including submittal review, construction site observations, and commissioning.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • LEED certification or other sustainable building certification is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
