Job Title: Field Electrical Engineer – Construction Support
Location: Pittsylvania County, Virginia – Onsite
Duration: 12 months +/ possibility to perm conversion

Role Overview
Join a high-impact industrial project supporting onsite electrical construction and system integration. This role is focused on field execution—not design—ensuring installations meet specifications, code requirements, and project timelines. You’ll play a critical role in resolving real-time issues, supporting power systems integration, and driving electrical readiness for commissioning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide onsite electrical oversight to ensure installations align with drawings, standards, and NEC requirements
  • Verify routing, grounding, bonding, clearances, and equipment placement
  • Lead field issue resolution, RFIs, and technical clarifications
  • Support installation and integration of electrical systems, including switchgear, MCCs, and auxiliary systems
  • Assist with temporary power, onsite generation, and power transition activities
  • Ensure NEC compliance and promote electrical safety on site
  • Maintain redlines, as-builts, and turnover documentation
  • Coordinate with construction teams, vendors, and engineering to resolve field challenges
  • Identify risks, prevent rework, and support schedule adherence

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Hands-on electrical construction experience in industrial or energy environments
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC with practical field application
  • Experience supporting large equipment installations and electrical integration
  • Background in temporary power systems or onsite generation
  • Proven ability to manage RFIs, redlines, and construction documentation
  • Ability to work full-time onsite and collaborate across teams

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience on compressor stations or large industrial infrastructure projects
  • Familiarity with generators, switchgear, MCCs, and protection systems
  • Experience with fast-paced or late-stage construction environments
  • Previous experience as an owner’s field representative
