Job Title: Electrical Engineer
Location: Glenshaw, PA

Type: Direct Hire
Compensation: 100-120K
Contractor Work Model: On site

Objective

Produce engineering and design deliverables for electrical power distribution systems (low voltage through medium voltage) based on project requirements, including calculations, equipment selection, and installation documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Define electrical system scope and technical criteria for assigned projects.
  • Develop engineering calculations to meet applicable project requirements (e.g., load calculations and related analyses).
  • Perform equipment sizing/selection and create equipment and installation specifications.
  • Prepare contractor-ready electrical work packages.
  • Review and comment on drawings and submittals from vendors, other disciplines, and project stakeholders.
  • Provide technical review of design output prepared by designers/drafters.
  • Complete site/field investigations to collect information needed to support design and confirm project scope.
  • Maintain organized engineering files and project records.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited four-year institution.
  • Minimum 5 years of electrical design engineering experience.
  • Experience designing low- and medium-voltage distribution systems.
  • Experience performing load and short-circuit studies.
  • Working knowledge of applicable electrical codes and standards.
  • Ability to perform field investigations to define and support project scope.

Preferences

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • High-voltage system experience.
  • Proficiency with SKM, ETAP, or EasyPower.
  • AutoCAD experience.
  • Lighting system design experience.
