Electrical Engineer II – looking for 3 - 6 years of experience
1 year contract position with possible of continuance as needed

12+ Month Contract 

Remote role, location preferred in the vicinity of either: PA-Greensburg Corporate Center -  Greensburg, OH-– Akron, or PA-Reading – as the ARP project supporting is in those OpCo areas, thus may need to go to office and/or attend a site visit.

Summary:

  • Duration: 12 Month Contract
  • Work Mode: Remote
  • Location: Vicinity of PA-Greensburg Corporate Center - Greensburg, OH-Akron, or PA-Reading

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the architecture, engineering, design, implementation, operation, maintenance, regulatory compliance, and ongoing reliability of RF communication systems and supporting infrastructure.
  • Support the deployment projects of Field Area Network devices and assist in the ongoing maintenance and operations of in-service assets.
  • Maintain network and communications documentation in the company’s document management platform.
  • Provide support for managing the portfolio of communications requests and mapping of network transport assets in the Geographic Information System (GIS).
  • Ensure computing and network architecture solutions are properly implemented during installations and upgrades.
  • Support the operational performance and maintenance of existing network circuits and design and deliver new products/product enhancements.
  • Ensure technical standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements are properly implemented on assigned projects.
  • Maintain scope, schedule, and budget for assigned projects.
  • Coordinate with internal and external groups on project delivery.
  • Maintain functional knowledge of technology, technology changes, and the relationships of technology to emerging business requirements.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in administrative and technical writing skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Adobe Acrobat, and other document production techniques.
  • Author, edit, and manage departmental process guidance in the form of formal policies, standards, procedures, guidelines, drawings, and other deliverables.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or associate’s degree in Networking, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Telecommunications or related field, or related work experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional-level experience.

Preferred Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of common test equipment (e.g., DMMs, antenna analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and RF wattmeters).
  • Experience in network circuit design, platform administration, and support.
  • Circuit engineering design and infrastructure support for data transport of devices over wireless or fiber.
  • Knowledge of in-building cellular phone signal booster and network extender technology.
  • Understanding of environmental support systems for technology platforms (e.g., HVAC, AC/DC power systems, batteries, generators, etc.).
  • Experience with circuit inventory management and telecommunications expense management systems.
  • Proficiency in document creation and editing using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Adobe Acrobat, and other software tools with emphasis on technical writing.
  • Familiarity with Document Management concepts and implementation through FileNet Content Navigator software or similar.
  • Knowledge of project management concepts and tools.
  • Understanding of telephony systems (e.g., PBX, key systems, console systems, ACD, etc.).
  • Experience with Supervisory Control & Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Remote Terminal Units (RTUs).
