Houston, Texas manufacturer is seeking to hire an experienced Senior Estimator
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree or related experience
Solid understanding of industrial codes, such as NEC, UL, IBC...
Electrical and wiring knowledge is a big plus
8 plus years' experience as an estimator, significant additional applicable work experience may be considered in lieu of degree
8 plus years' work experience using analytic tools (i.e. spreadsheets and database managers)
3+ years' experience managing quotations and opportunities in sales
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills along with ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings
Prior experience as an Estimator with advanced training in MS Office Suite and AutoCAD experience is preferred
Researching, sourcing, negotiating, and obtaining the best prices and quotes from suppliers and subcontractors then use estimating software with customer-supplied specifications and drawings to determine factors of production that influence the cost of a service or product
Review project specifications, drawings, and other documents to gain a comprehensive understanding of the scope of work.
Create bills of material from electrical drawings and/or wiring diagrams
