    Description

    Location: Houston, TX 77056 -- Onsite, up to 25% travel

    Compensation: $55/hour (contract)

    A major natural gas infrastructure operator is adding an Electrical Engineer to support plant operations in Houston. This is hands-on reliability work on live electrical infrastructure, not a desk-only design seat.

    What You'll Own

    - Develop and complete equipment condition-based maintenance programs

    - Improve the operational reliability of electrical infrastructure and voltage systems

    - Support electrical equipment outages and maintenance work

    - Maintain and update electrical drawings

    - Perform electrical reviews of management of change plans and work plans

    - Coordinate and review arc flash studies, then implement the improvements that come out of them

    What You'll Bring

    - Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field, or a Bachelor's in Engineering Technology plus an active P.E. license

    - Minimum 4 years of multifaceted engineering experience in the natural gas or petrochemical industry

    - Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with safety treated as the top priority

    - Comfort coordinating third party contractors on field work

    - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general PC skills

    - Willingness to travel up to 25%

    Nice to Have

    - FE Certification

    - Project management experience

    - Working proficiency in the National Electric Code and industry standard methodologies
