Position Overview:
Under limited supervision, the Electrical Engineer III will design, test, and develop electrical equipment, components, circuits, or systems, ensuring they meet quality, safety, and performance standards. Designs, develops, and tests electrical equipment, components, circuits, or systems. Applies mathematical and engineering principles and methods to designs. Performs extensive testing and validation of designs to ensure reliability, performance, and safety standards are achieved. Conducts research and studies new technologies to innovate and design solutions or products. This role works closely with clients, project managers, engineers, technicians, and quality personnel to identify project requirements and ensure the successful completion of control systems projects.
Functions:
• Conducts research and studies new technologies to innovate and design solutions or products. • Designs circuits, develops schematics, PCB layout using computer-aided design (CAD) software. • Creates fabrication files, interfacing documents, and technical documentation (e.g., application notes, engineering notes). • Conducts thorough testing and analysis of prototypes and systems to ensure functionality, safety, and compliance with industry standards. • Performs extensive testing and validation of designs to ensure reliability, performance, and safety standards are achieved. • Troubleshoots and diagnoses electrical issues and recommends solutions for improvements. • Uses testing equipment, such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators, to verify and validate designs. • Programs, prototypes, and tests microcontrollers and boards. • Other job-related duties as assigned.
