CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client of over 15 years is seeking an Electrical Engineer III to support the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and startup of advanced manufacturing equipment and automated systems. This is a hands‑on engineering role requiring significant time on the manufacturing floor leading equipment installations, system integrations, and process improvement initiatives.Type: ContractJob Title: Electrical Engineer IIILocation: Wilmington, NCMust be able to commute and work onsite in Wilmington, NCPay Rate: Based on experienceWork Hours: M-F 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMEducation: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent engineering disciplineKey ResponsibilitiesLead electrical engineering support for equipment installation, startup, debugging, and commissioning activities.Direct technicians, maintenance personnel, contractors, and trades during equipment installation and conversion projects.Develop and manage project schedules, timelines, and implementation plans.Troubleshoot electrical, controls, and automation systems to resolve equipment and process issues.Support PLC‑based manufacturing systems, machine controls, and industrial automation equipment.Interface with machine builders, system integrators, and vendors to ensure successful project delivery.Create, review, and update electrical drawings, schematics, machine specifications, and installation documentation.Evaluate existing equipment and recommend upgrades, modifications, and design improvements.Support development and implementation of industrial control systems and automation solutions.Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, reliability, quality, and operational efficiency.Required QualificationsStrong knowledge of electrical power systems operating at 480VAC and below.Experience interpreting electrical drawings, schematics, and control documentation.Hands‑on experience troubleshooting industrial equipment and automated systems.Ability to work effectively with Mechanical, Process, Controls, and IT Engineering teams.Strong problem‑solving, organizational, and project execution skills.Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and safe work practices.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.Preferred QualificationsExperience with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical.Knowledge of PLC and motion control systems, including:Allen‑BradleyBeckhoffB&R AutomationExperience with SCADA/HMI development and industrial automation systems.Understanding of PID control theory and electro‑mechanical systems.Familiarity with NEC, NFPA 70, OSHA, and other applicable industry standards.Project management experience including scope development, budgeting, and scheduling.Experience working in manufacturing, industrial, or construction environments.Travel RequirementsTravel may range from several days to multiple weeks depending on project phase.Full‑time travel may be required during deployment and startup activities.Domestic and international travel may be required to support manufacturing operations and project implementations.Equal Employment OpportunityCTG is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.CTG is an E-Verify Company.CTG will consider for employment all qualified applicants including those with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the requirements of all applicable local, state, and federal laws.#J-18808-Ljbffr
