Electrical Engineer The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the selection and specifications of CNC controls, electrical hardware, and creation of schematics for high precision turning and ID/OD grinding machines. In addition, the Electrical Engineer will support automation integrations for the machines.
The requirements for this position are as follows:
EDUCATION:
B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering required.
EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in electrical design required. Experience with Siemens or Fanuc CNC controls preferred. Demonstrated competency in 2D and/or 3D CAD is required. Hands-on electrical troubleshooting experience preferred. Ability to take both written and verbal instructions. Strong oral and written communication skills required. Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of professional demeanor and discretion in handling confidential information. Ability to work efficiently with a team of design and project engineers required.
SPECIFIC TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:
REPORTS TO: Engineering Design Manager/Lead
LOCATION: Elgin, IL with possibility of hybrid/remote with relevant experience
RESPONSIBILITIES:
**Travel is expected up to 10% of time.** Compensation for this role is $80,000 to $100,000 depending on experience. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
