Summary Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, and. Adhere to all standards, codes regulations. Provide engineering support both internally and externally. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Create electrical schematics for production to use in unit assembly, create and test programs for PLCs, HMIs and VFDs, create part numbers for new components, options and units, create manuals for customers containing information on units, create work instructions for use by production and staff. Performs PLC programming for service part orders Develop work instructions, procedures, and manuals for engineering processes. Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Travel and Work Environment There is no regular travel required for this position. Safety Observes safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly. Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree or equivalent; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Three years minimum of PLC programming, HMI programming, and/or Drive Application programming experience highly preferred. Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Design software and Spreadsheet software. PLC programming, HMI programming, and/or Drive Application programming experience highly preferred Physical Demands While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
