Role Description This full-time, on-site Electrical Engineer role is based in Lake Mary, FL. The Electrical Engineer will design, develop, and optimize electrical systems for laser processing equipment, including power distribution and control circuits. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and reviewing electrical schematics, performing calculations, selecting components, and ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards. The role involves collaborating with mechanical, optical, and software engineering teams to integrate electrical designs into complete systems, supporting prototype builds, and participating in testing and troubleshooting activities. The Electrical Engineer will also assist in continuous improvement efforts, documentation, and production support to enhance reliability, performance, and manufacturability of laser systems.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering, including knowledge of electricity principles and applied engineering practices.

• Experience with Electrical Design for industrial equipment, such as circuit design, schematics, and component selection.

• Knowledge of Power Systems and Power Distribution, including load analysis, grounding, protection, and safety standards.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.

• Experience working with industrial or manufacturing equipment; laser or optics-related experience is a plus.

• Proficiency with CAD and electrical design tools (e.g., EDA or ECAD software) and familiarity with relevant codes and standards.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, with attention to detail and documentation accuracy.

• Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and work on-site in a fast-paced engineering environment.
