We are seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer (Level 5) to support the development of next-generation spacecraft power systems and electric propulsion technologies. This is a high-impact opportunity to work on advanced electronics solutions designed for extreme environments across land, sea, air, and space applications.
Our systems range from tens of watts to hundreds of kilowatts, incorporating power electronics, low- and high-voltage analog, mixed signal, and digital circuitry. This role offers full lifecycle engineering exposurefrom proposal and feasibility through design, verification, production, and post-delivery support.
Key Responsibilities
As a Lead Electrical Engineer, you will:
Lead detailed circuit architecture, design, and development for advanced power electronics systems
Perform worst-case circuit analysis, simulations, and validation
Oversee PCB layout design to ensure performance, manufacturability, and reliability
Conduct initial power-up of new circuit board designs and perform integration testing
Execute verification, validation, debugging, and troubleshooting activities
Support production teams to ensure successful hardware delivery and quality standards
Collaborate cross-functionally with electrical, mechanical, software, systems, test, and program management teams
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to early-career engineers
Required Qualifications
Bachelors Degree with 9+ years of relevant experience
OR
Graduate Degree with 7+ years of relevant experience
OR
13+ years of related professional experience in lieu of a degree
Technical Expertise
Power Electronics & Circuit Design
DC-to-DC converter design and power converter development
Analog, digital, mixed-signal, and high-voltage circuit design
Power system architecture and hardware development
Simulation & Design Tools
LTspice, PSpice, MATLAB/Simulink, or equivalent simulation tools
PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, Mentor Graphics, or equivalent
Testing & Debugging
Hands-on use of oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, electronic loads, and laboratory test equipment
Circuit board bring-up, integration, and troubleshooting
Root cause analysis and technical problem resolution
