Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Electrical Engineer with a strong foundation in manufacturing operations and industrial controls. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving real-time equipment issues, supporting CAPEX projects, and working closely with cross-functional teams and external contractors. The ideal candidate will have solid experience with PLCs, equipment installations, and power systems, and is motivated by operational efficiency rather than design-heavy engineering.
Key Responsibilities
+ Lead and support Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) initiatives — from planning and materials sourcing to installation and project execution.
+ Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment, focusing on PLC and HMI systems (preferably Allen Bradley).
+ Manage industrial control systems, including power distribution and instrumentation ranging from 12V to 480V.
+ Coordinate and supervise external contractors, ensuring project milestones are met with a focus on safety and quality.
+ Minimize downtime through rapid diagnostics and equipment recovery.
+ Maintain strict adherence to plant safety policies and procedures.
+ Support ongoing plant operations and equipment optimization efforts as needed.
Required Skills & Competencies
+ Strong proficiency in PLC programming, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
+ In-depth knowledge of industrial electrical systems and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
+ Proven ability to manage multiple projects in parallel and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
+ Effective decision-maker with a practical, results-driven approach.
+ Excellent communication and organizational skills.
+ Comfortable working in a dynamic manufacturing environment with minimal focus on design work.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Controls (required).
+ 5–8 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing setting.
+ Demonstrated success managing CAPEX projects and overseeing equipment installations.
+ Hands-on experience in industrial control systems, PLCs, power distribution, and contractor coordination.
Why Join Us?
+ Long-standing, reputable company with strong brand recognition.
+ Clear career progression – we promote from within.
+ Opportunity to work on impactful, real-world engineering projects with ownership and autonomy.
