Our client in the Seattle area is a part of a leading design and manufacturer of aerospace products and is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer
Keltia Design Inc. is a technical support services company providing Aerospace Design, CAD Training along with Specialized Technical Recruiting services to mainly the aerospace industry in WA and CA, and other locations around the US and Canada. We have been in business for nearly 20 years in the US and over 8 years in Europe.
We are seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented Senior Electrical Engineer to take ownership of the development of DSP/MCU based electronic systems. The position will be heavily engaged with engineering, program management, customer and supplier relations, and manufacturing. The individual must know the important elements in system, hardware and software engineering, have a great sense of detail, know how to take on various duties in a short time, and be able to take initiative when needed. This position is located in Redmond, WA.
The successful candidate will typically have the following:
Bachelors degree required in Electrical Engineering or related; Masters preferred
Provide electronic hardware development tasks across several products, responsibilities will include:
MIL-STD and DO-160 Qualification testing including EMI and Environmental
Electronic HW developmental testing and functional prototype creation
Development of hardware requirements, schematics, printed wiring designs, and cabling to implement overall structure of a product
Development of hardware/system verification and test plans and procedures to ensure product meets requirements
Provide expert insight into embedded system design for electromechanical actuation (EMAs).
Experience should include implementation of field oriented control via DSP (TI TMS320 series preferred), various serial interfaces (CAN, RS-485, ARINC 429, etc), high voltage DC drives for Brushless DC motors
Lead technical customer discussion
Product Lifecycle management familiarity with tools such as JIRA, DOORS, Polarion desired
Collaborate with system-level, hardware and software design engineers to develop designs on aggressive time schedules
Proficiency with ANSYS Electronics Desktop a plus
Proficient with MS Office tools (Excel, WORD, MS Power Point, MS Project)
Experience programming in C/C++ for embedded systems
Excellent interpersonal communication skills (excellent verbal and written skills)
Strong background in Hardware and Software Engineering environments. Desirable to have familiarity with the following: Schematic capture with ORCAD
Integration, Soldering and Debug of Embedded Electronics and Software
Electrical Simulation with pSPICE, Flex and Matlab Simulink
Experience with use of configuration control tools such as Subversion
