Summary: Responsible for providing technical engineering support, design analysis, and oversight for electrical systems on assigned projects. Working under the direction of the Project Manager or Engineering Lead, the Electrical Engineer ensures that all electrical components and systems meet contract specifications, safety regulations, and industry standards
Essential Functions:
· Technical Design & Oversight: Provide technical guidance and engineering solutions for the scope of work defined in company contracts.
· Create Engineering Modification Packages and other Technical Deliverables
· Perform calculations as required to ensure proper engineering performance of site equipment.
· Innovative engineering methods to reduce costs, and investigate over-budget technical items.
· Quality & Compliance: Ensure that new technical methodologies are investigated to improve company capability and that all work adheres to corporate and industry standards.
· Reporting: Report findings and observations regarding electrical system health and make technical recommendations for appropriate action.
· Interface with other work groups in the implementation and/ or troubleshooting of electrical systems.
· Safety: Ensure that all engineering designs and site activities observe health and safety regulations.
· Site Support: Support site teams during shift turnovers to ensure technical continuity and quality of work accomplished.

Technical Skills:
· Industry Knowledge: Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, and electrical standards.
· Regulatory: Ability to obtain an OSHA 30 Card within 12 months of hire.
· Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical reporting and diplomacy in client interactions.
· Software: Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, and relevant engineering database applications.
· Decision Making: Ability to make technical recommendations that significantly impact project profitability and customer relationships.
· Organization: Ability to handle multiple engineering projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.

Physical Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering; equivalent experience considered at the discretion of management.
Experience: Three to five years of experience in electrical engineering, design. Optimally, 3- 5 years of experience as an electrical engineering in nuclear power setting.
