We are seeking a skilled electrical engineer to support the Nairobi CAA Project – construction of a new CAA building in addition to the existing chancery, providing technical oversight, inspection, and quality assurance for all electrical systems. You will ensure installations are compliant with U.S. standards, project specifications, and contract requirements from installation through testing and commissioning.This position is contingent upon the award of the contract, and the contract duration is three years.Key Responsibilities:Inspect electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, transformers, and controlsReview shop drawings, calculations, and submittals for compliance with design intentMonitor installation, testing, and commissioning activitiesEnsure contractor work complies with codes, specifications, and safety standardsEvaluate RFIs, change requests, and technical issues, providing recommendationsCoordinate with architectural, civil, and mechanical teams for system integrationTrack progress and prepare detailed engineering and inspection reportsMaintain logs of inspections, submittals, and field issuesIdentify deficiencies and ensure corrective actions are implementedAssist in review of contractor payment applicationsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical EngineeringMinimum 7 years of construction experienceProfessional Engineer License preferredPrior OBO site experience preferredMust have overseas experienceExperience with electrical systems and distributionStrong knowledge of U.S. standards and codesKnowledge of Construction Safety regulations, e.g. EM 385‑1‑1, OSHA, etc.Knowledge of Microsoft Suite, i.e., PowerPoint, Excel, and Word requiredAbility to obtain Top Secret clearanceFull‑time Employee Benefits:Medical insurance/Dental/Vision Insurance401K plan eligibility upon hireHealth and Savings Account planLife/AD&D Insurance CoverageShort‑Term Disability Insurance CoveragePaid HolidaysPaid Time OffWellness OfferingTraining and DevelopmentLicense/Certification supportRecognition and Rewards programTravel InsurancePlanate Management Group is an affirmative action and equal opportunity employer.
