Description

Johnson Service Group is looking for an Electrical Engineer to work a contract in OKC, OK. 

Our client typically support unmanned aerial systems (UAS), aerospace platforms, and defense technologies, working across the full engineering lifecycle—from design to testing and integration.  Defense technology company focused on unmanned systems, satellite communications, cyber security/warfare, microwave electronics, missile defense, training, and combat systems.

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
Works Electrical/Electronics design and development projects and provides solutions to difficult engineering problems here at KUAS.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Manages effort and time within the budget and schedule provided for the task.
  • Understands customer requirements and prepares designs in accordance with customer and derived requirements.
  • Prepares formal, controlled engineering documentation (i.e. drawings, specifications, parts lists, interface control documents, test procedures, etc.).
  • Prepares and presents design review material in support of technical interchange meetings with suppliers and external/internal customers.
  • Ensures customer satisfaction in relation to projects.
  • Supports system testing, trouble shooting, and problem resolution. 
  • Supports flight testing, data reduction, analysis, and reporting. 
  • Prepares test plans and reports.
  • Follows safety precautions.
  • Ensures that the work area and equipment are kept clean.
  • Complies with established QMS procedures.
  • Acts as the Lead Electrical/Electronics Engineer per procedure for very complex projects as assigned by Manager that affect multiple systems, involve several suppliers/teaming partners, and require frequent customer interface.
  • Acts as Test Director when necessary.
  • Prepares and presents design review material in support of technical interchange meetings with suppliers and external/internal customers.
  • Plans projects and executes to the plan with attention to detail.
  • Provides direction and oversight, both technically and programmatically, to Electrical/Electronics Engineers.
  • Provides interface to other engineering design and development disciplines, ensuring that electrical/electronics requirements are addressed and satisfied during overall system integration.
  • Manages the engineering team’s effort and time within the budget and schedule provided for the task.
  • Reports project status periodically (actual budget/schedule vs. proposed budget/schedule).
  • Reports progress in meeting customer requirements periodically.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Required:
  • Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards.

  • Ability to adhere to workplace rules.
  • Ability to effectively communicate professionally in writing or verbally with all levels of personnel.

  • Must have experience with Power Generation and Distribution, 28VDC and 270VDC.
  • Must have experience with Inertial Navigation and Global Positioning Systems (INS and GPS).
  • Must have experience with Aircraft Actuators and Positioners.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Required:
Each successive level of Electrical/Electronics Engineer builds on the identified education and experience listed for the previous level(s) of Electrical/Electronics Engineer. 
 


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Design electrical systems, circuits, and components for aerospace/defense applications
  • Create schematics, wiring diagrams, and system documentation
  • Supports system testing, trouble shooting, and problem resolution.
  • Support integration of avionics and electrical subsystems into aircraft platforms
  • Conduct electrical analysis (power systems, signal integrity, etc.)
  • Diagnose and resolve system issues during development and testing
  • Design electrical systems, circuits, and components for aerospace/defense applications
  • Create schematics, wiring diagrams, and system documentation
  • Design and develop wire harnesses, including routing, connector selection, and build-to-print packages
  • Integrate avionics and electrical subsystems into aircraft platforms
  • Perform electrical analysis (power distribution, signal integrity, EMI/EMC)
  • Troubleshoot system and wiring issues during build and test phase
  • Develop engineering drawings, harness documentation, and test procedures
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace and military standards
