Environmental, Operations and Construction (EOC) operates within HDR's Federal Business Group, capable of delivering services across all HDR business groups at any location. Our work is performed by our professional staff, scientists and engineers at remote sites, embedded in client office space or our own facilities. EOC delivers quality engineering, environmental, and construction management services at competitive prices.In the role of Electrical Engineer we'll count on you to:Provide electrical technical and engineering support in the design of the building systems (Power, Lighting, Grounding, Lightning protection)Provide support in engineering evaluations and recommendations for improvementsProvide in-depth assessments and cost estimates for electrical projectsDesign electrical systems based on the DOD/Tinker AFB specificationsProvide technical reviews of Submittals, Requests for Information and internal design drawingsParticipates in final on-site inspectionsSupport the other disciplines as neededProvide support to the Damage Assessment Team (DAT) program.Performs other duties and special projects as assignedPreferred QualificationsMinimum 10 years of experience in general electrical design of buildings/infrastructureKnowledge of design for Department of Defense facilitiesPrior Department of Defense experienceKnowledge of the Internal Building Code, NFPA Life Safety Code, ASCE 7, ACI Standards, AISC Standards, and Unified Facilities CriteriaBe willing to submit to a background checkStrong knowledge of codes and good planning skillsExperience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project Schedule) and AutoCADGood verbal and written communication skillsPrevious experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm desiredRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasisPrevious experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems)Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered.
