We are seeking a hands-on Electrical Engineer to support the development of battery-electric transportation systems. This role focuses on PCB design, assembly, board bring-up, testing, and troubleshooting.
The right candidate can work across the complete board-development process, from reading datasheets and selecting components through validating finished hardware.
Responsibilities
- Create schematics for analog, power, and low-speed digital circuits
- Read component datasheets and select appropriate electronic components
- Design basic semiconductor, sensor, interface, and communication circuits
- Perform PCB layout for low-speed digital signals and analog power systems
- Apply proper grounding, power-plane, and signal-routing techniques
- Assemble, rework, and test SMD circuit boards
- Perform board bring-up, circuit validation, and functional testing
- Analyze SPI, I2C, CAN, and UART communications
- Troubleshoot problems at the circuit, board, and system levels
- Support electrical integration with ECUs, controllers, and related systems
- Document test results, design changes, and root-cause findings
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field
- At least three years of hands-on electrical engineering experience
- Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout
- Familiarity with KiCad, Altium, OrCAD, Cadence, Eagle, or similar tools
- Strong understanding of basic electronics and component selection
- Experience reading and applying information from technical datasheets
- Hands-on experience with SMD assembly, rework, and PCB testing
- Experience with circuit validation and board bring-up
- Ability to troubleshoot SPI, I2C, CAN, or UART communications
- Experience using oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and power supplies
- Automotive electrical, ECU, or industrial control-system experience preferred
Candidates should be prepared to discuss specific circuits, boards, or electrical systems they have personally designed, assembled, tested, or troubleshot.
